INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT USE OF THE DOSES OF FROZEN SEMINAL MATERIAL
Use of the dose
The prepared dose according to the rigid protocol of thawing must be used within brief time (maximum 20-30 minutes) avoiding that the semen is cooled.
Insemination technique
• Lubricate through sterile vaseline the catheter end, to introduce it in vagina and to direct it toward the cervix. The spin to the cervix has to happen letting rotate in sense anti-clockwise the same catheter.
• Introduce the seminal material through the manual pressure practiced on the plastic bottle, pressure that has happen in synchrony with the times of cervix closing (40") and opening (30").
Preparation of the sows to the A.I.
Before effecting the intervention it is necessary to stimulate the sows through those practices that mirror the preparatory movements effected by the boar before the joining (pressure on the sides and on the loins). |
