INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT USE OF THE DOSES OF COOLED SEMINAL MATERIAL
Methods of conservation
Seminal material • must be stored in thermostat refrigerating to a temperature of +16,5°C.
The seminal material maintains its own ability to fertilize from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 6 days from the collection.
Examination of the Seminal Material
In the execution of the examination of the seminal material is necessary to remember that the product is found in state of absence of oxygen therefore before the examination is necessary to assure a suitable oxygenation and heating (in warm water at +36/37°C) for recreate optimal conditions for the spermatozoa.
Insemination technique
• Lubricate through sterile vaseline the catheter end, to introduce it in vagina and to direct it toward the cervix. The spin to the cervix has to happen letting rotate in sense anti-clockwise the same catheter.
• Introduce the seminal material through the manual pressure practiced on the plastic bottle, pressure that has happen in synchrony with the times of cervix closing (40") and opening (30").
Preparation of the sows to the A.I.
Before effecting the intervention it is necessary to stimulate the sows through those practices that mirror the preparatory movements effected by the boar before the joining (pressure on the sides and on the loins). |
