REQUIREMENTS FOR QUALIFY TO THE PUBLIC ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION
ALL THE BOARS WHEN THEY ARRIVE IN QUARANTINE THE MUST HAVE THE GENEALOGICAL CERTIFICATE AND THE CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION TO THE PUBLIC ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION.
The Boars
• Are maintained in fit conditioned environments, fed with a specific diet
(enriched particularly with vitamins C and E and Oligoelements in organic form)
• The sperm is picked up to regular intervals in the respect of the potentialities of the animal
On the semen
The withdrawn semen is submitted to the following controls:
• volume of ejaculates
• number of sperms
• motility of the sperms
• temperature resistance
Only a suitable punctuate reached in the examinations above listed it allows to destine the semen to the distribution.
Periodically the following functional investigation are performed on the semen of the boars in distribution to verify the estate of the productive standard:
• vitality test
• test of motor intensity (sperm motility index, SMI)
• morphology and acrosome integrity |
